The Kid is Miserable!

Chickenpox has really wiped out my baby boy. He has had a fever since Wednesday and is really not eating anything. He is drinking a lot of juice.

I am hoping that his pox are not infected. Some of the ones on his torso look very strange. The Husband and I are calling the pediatrics dept tomorrow to see if we can get someone to look at them.

Please send good thoughts our way and hope that he will be better soon!

Chickenpox has Hit the Household

The Kid has the chickenpox. :( We are not a happy family. So close to the holidays makes it a little worse. The Kid will be fine, but tonight he is miserable.

I purchased an American Crafts Christmas kit from here and was excited to use it with photos of The Kid's first Christmas. We can't travel to visit my family because The Niece has not had her chickenpox vaccination yet. We are planning on celebrating once The Kid feels better - maybe in January. My Parents are going to keep their tree up and we will just pretend that it is Christmas in January so we can have The Kid's first Christmas. I need to take lots of photos so I can use the new Christmas goodies I just got in the mail today!

It's Been a Long Long Time

I guess I have been away from the blogging world. I have been busy with Christmas shopping/decorating.

I went to an all day crop last Saturday and had a great time. I used my gypsy and even had another women asking me all kinds of questions about it. Maybe I made a sale. That day was also the first snow storm of the season. I did 14 pages of The Cat's album. I know, I'm a dork, scrapping my cat.

The Kid is getting big and crawling all over. We finally had to gate him in to the living room. The Cat is not happy. He cannot jump over the gate. We sent out our Christmas cards with a photo of The Kid. Everyone has said they are the cutest of the cutest. I agree.

I just got two new cartridges to upload to the Gypsy. Office Help and Storefront. Think I'll go do that now.

Black Friday

and no I am NOT going out in to the craziness! Although I did go to Michael's yesterday when we got home from Thanksgiving dinner. I picked up a few cartridges that I wanted. I got Paisley (too cute!), Old West (love all the fonts!), Animal Kingdom and Paper Doll Dress Up. I did get a bone folder too. Woo hoo!

It's Been a Long Long Time

Well, there really hasn't been anything too exciting going on in Wendy's World. I got a few new cartridges and have been playing with the Gypsy. I am going to an all day crop on Dec 5. I am very excited! I will be doing some cat stuff. I have a mini album that I made that I will be putting photos in. I also have an 8x8 album that I am going to do for The Cat.

The Kid is getting big and rolling all over. He is crawling and having a great time being 9 months old. I can't believe my little guy is getting so big so fast!

I just got the email from HSN saying my Gypsy has been shipped! Yippie! I have been having dreams about all of the things I am going to create.

The emails said to expect delivery in 7-10 days, but I am hoping for maybe 2. One can wish!

A House Full of Sickies

That's pretty much what we are here at the House. The Husband got it first. Sneezes, coughs, stuffiness, general yuck. The Kid got it next. Add in a fever. Now it is my turn. Include sinus pressure and crankiness.

I have been making homemade baby food for The Kid and the Babycook makes is so easy. Put in some water. Put in chopped up food. Turn dial. Drain water. Blend steamed food. Easy-peasey-lemon-squeezy.

I am making zucchini as I type. So far The Kid has liked everything I made except green beans. Just like his Daddy.

Who's out there?

I have no idea if anyone has found this blog, or if anyone I told about it is actually checking it out. I know it is a work in progress, but I really hope to get it up and going to show off some of my crafty crafts. I am working on getting a craft space in my place. It is hard because there is no spare room and I have a 8 month old baby who is now getting into everything so I can't leave my scrapbook stuff out. I am contemplating making the dining room into my craft space. We'll see if The Husband goes for that.

In the mean time, I am searching people's blogs for inspiration and ideas. There is always some great blog candy out there that I would love a chance to win. (another reason for starting up a blog)

The heat is on!

Woo hoo! The heat is fixed! Which is great because it is really cold today. There was even some snow for a bit.

The Kid and I went to the Mommy-and-Me movie today. We saw Couples Retreat. It was cute. We had a good day.

It is really cold

We finally had to turn the heat on today, only to find out it is broken. The replacement part should hopefully be here tomorrow. Poor Kid is freezing. I had to borrow a little heater to warm his room for him during the night. He is in there now all comfy and cozy and sleeping away. It is so hard to believe The Kid will be 8 months old on Friday!

Speaking of The Kid and cold weather...his swim class was canceled today because the pool was so cold. The make up class won't be until January! Wut? That's far away. I hope The Kid doesn't forget how to do the 4x100 by then.

Ordered the Gypsy Bundle from HSN

Can't wait to get it. I have really been anxious to get back to scrapbooking and crafting. Having a 7 1/2 month old has limited the time I have to pull out all of my supplies and get creative. Right now I don't have my own craft space, so I have to unpack and pack up when ever I want to do something. That's hard during the day when I am playing with and chasing around a silly rolling baby. I am just too tired at night to pull anything out just to put it all away again without really completing a project.

That's why the Gypsy will be fabulous! I can create and design whenever I have some spare time and then when I am ready, I can pull out the supplies I need and get crafty. Yippie! I have been watching a lot of videos and tutorials online so I will be ready when it arrives. Did I already say I can't wait until I get it?
